The 2nd Avant Writing Symposium: deadline

The deadline for receipt of proposals for the August Avant Writing Symposium at Ohio state University Libraries is fast approaching. I have to have them by Mon. May 17! So if you haven't sent one in, it's now or never.

Proposals should include a title, paragraph or so describing what you want to do, and a brief bio. Other details below:

The Symposium will be open to all interested persons, with a small registration fee. The number of presentations will be limited by time and space constraints.

We are now open to receive proposals for presentations for 30-minute slots (with some exceptions for longer presentations) for papers, performances, digital presentations, and other activities, having to do with innovative and avant-garde writing, broadly conceived. Include a brief bio. Deadline: May 17, 2010. Please send your proposals to:

Please note that all attendees, whether presenting or not, will need to pay the small registration fee of $30 US.

Information on hotels and lodging availabilities will be forthcoming closer to the event.

This event will include a number of special presentations from writers and artists invited from Spain and Latin America.

This promises to be a very exciting 3 days!
