'Santa Monica - The Art of Summer" / September 4th

This Saturday, September 4th opens our new Crussell Fine Arts show in conjunction with the Orange Count Center for Contemporary Art, 'Santa Monica - The Art of Summer". The show consists of 50 outstanding pieces selected from the original 1,100 submitted piece for our Bloomingdales Open Call that we administered this year. The 50 pieces presented are a mixture of painting, photography, mixed media and video all dealing with a theme of Santa Monica, West Coast and the Southern California life style.

Panel Discussion: Saturday, September 11th, 5-6pm "How to be Seen: The art of submitting to galleries and juried shows" with Professor Jane Bauman - Coast Community College, Jeffrey Crussell, Pamela Grau - OCCCA, Chris Hoff - The Hoff Foundation, Professor David Michael Lee - Chapman University, and Professor Mike McGee - California State University Fullerton.

Art Talk One: Saturday, September 18th 6-7pm and Art Talk Two / Closing Event: Saturday, September 25th 6-7pm.

We are also building a CAN-Castle (instead of a sand castle) to help support our local food banks, so please bring 5 cans of food and help us build our CAN-Castle throughout the month.
